My Story
In 2004, I faced a bit of a crisis - the amazing face cream I ordered from Germany ceased to exist! Unable to find a suitable replacement, I hired a chemist to teach me what works with what and how ingredients interacted with each other.
The experimentation began. With each batch, I’d tweak this or that. I never intended to sell what I made until one day, a friend said she needed a
good moisturizer. I made her a jar. Through word of mouth, what started as a personal project became a small business.
Continued experimentation and client feedback improved the cream with each new batch. And then one day, it happened…the perfect formulation! E.P.I.S was born.
I’m an artist to the core and want to do good in the world. As a makeup artist, I custom-craft lipstick, concealers, and powders for clients. Note to self: I can re-create your favorite shade of lipstick that has gone out of production - save the tube!
My passion, however, is steeped in compassion: teaching burn victims how to camouflage damaged skin (I gave one woman a nostril and a lip!) and cancer patients how to have eyebrows and a healthy look during chemo. The smiles and tears of joy have deeply impacted me, and I’m grateful to help others.
Life’s a journey, and mine has been a great one!
